why it's happening. secular progressives are running wild with president obama and the white house. they feel unchained, liberated and they are trying to diminish any form of religion. the goal is to marginalize religious opposition to secular programs. for example, in canada, in china, a woman can have an abortion for any reason at any time. secular progressives want that here. but traditional forces in america are in opposition. therefore, in this country, you can't terminate a baby without to be born without a damn good reason. if you do abort a latham late term baby you can be charged with murder. sp's hate that in scandinavia there are laws that say you cannot criticize minorities and if you do, you could be arrested. secular progressives want laws like that here. also, of the legalization of drugs well underway in many places. and that is the secular cause. so, if the far left can marginalize santa and the easter bunny. if they can tell the children those symbols are obsolete and unnecessary, they then set the stage for a totally secular society in the future. and that's what

need to do the kind of draconian budget cutting they have been proposing since president obama won the white house back for democrats. and look what happens to the conservative rationale for budget can you tell us when conservatives get more honest about the debt and deficit. a conservative columnist says about the new ryan budget, it sacrificed seriousness for seriousness by promising to reach budgetary balance, not over the long term as budgets 1.0 and 2.0 did, but in a ten year window. this is not going to happen, and more importantly there's no reason why it needs to happen. modest deficits are perfectly compatible with fiscal responsibility. talk about singing a new tune. and the conservative think tank, the american enterprise institute asks why does the budget need to balance in ten years? debt reduction doesn't require balance, just that the economy is growing faster than the debt, while the plan does put the debt to gdp ratio on a downward trajectory, it probably doesn't need to be quite as steep. ezra klein, this is a big deal, and you're here on this show to prove it is

for president obama. for more, we're going to go to nbc's kristen welker who is at the white house. kristen, we were just talking about president obama's event today, the naturalization ceremony a few minutes ago. what is next for him as he tries on this fupush for immigration reform? >> reporter: i think you're going to hear the president continue to make the argument that he made today that he wants to see congress come up with an immigration reform plan by the end of the month so it can be debated next month and then voted on as soon as possible. of course, organizing for action, the president's re-tooled campaign, will also be working on this on the sidelines to put pressure on congress. the president's comments sort of highlight and echo the timeline that senator chuck schumer mapped out this weekend. he is, of course, on that bipartisan gang of eight which is working on immigration reform. he said they are close to getting a plan, a bill unveiled. they hope to get something done by the end of the month. i can tell you, karen, though, in talking to my sources, one of the big s
